Collection and disposal of hazardous waste
Hazardous waste is any waste containing substances which have some of the following properties: explosiveness, reactivity, flammability, irritability, toxicity, infectivity, carcinogenicity, mutagenicity, teratogenicity, ecotoxicity, oxidizing properties, corrosion properties and property release toxic gases or chemical reaction biological degradation (članak 4. Zakona o otpadu NN 151/03).
Ecooperativa is authorized for collection and disposal of hazardous waste:
- collection and disposal of waste oils (engine, mechanical, hydraulic, transformer),
- waste grease,
- oily waste (oily sludge, filters, rags, containers, etc.),
- old paints and varnishes, adhesives, resins, etc. and packaging contaminated with the same,
- laboratory waste and other chemicals.
The largest quantity of hazardous waste is generated in the process of industrial production. We can help you with dispose of the following hazardous by-products of industrial production:
- waste water from industry,
- industrial salts (cyanide, nitrosated, barium),
- galvanic sludges,
- waste acids and alkalis,
- photographic chemicals,
- asbestos.
Asbestos
Asbestos is a mineral that is naturally found in six forms in the form of long thin fibers, and are due to resistance to chemicals, heat, and very good electrical insulation resistance. In the past, asbestos fibers were called the "miracle fiber". However due to the extremely thin asbestos fibers (1200 times thinner than a human hair), which is easily inhaled and pass through the natural human filtering system, asbestos is still treated as hazardous waste. Asbestos is everywhere around us, mostly on rooftops (salonitne panel), but also the thermal insulation of facades, asbestos cement water pipes, partitions and almost can not be completely avoided in everyday life. The proper handling of the collectors, in disposing of such waste can reduce the risk of reprisals.
Ecooperativa d.o.o. as a signatory to he Treaty on the collection, transportation and disposal of construction waste containing asbestos from Fund for Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency
provides the service of collection and disposal of following types of asbestos:
- Flat and corrugated sheets of large format,
- Facade and roof plates of small size,
- Asbestos pipes removed from the walls of buildings that are falling down or reconstructed,
- Tightly related insulating materials.
